EHS ComplianceThe Government of Haryana, Health Department (HRY), on July 9, 2026, extended the validity of the existing Cholera prevention order issued under Section 2 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 across the State. The order continues the preventive measures originally issued on December 10, 1994, and last extended on May 28, 2025.

The notification provides that the Cholera prevention order shall remain in force throughout the State of Haryana until December 31, 2026, ensuring the continued implementation of public health measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

The extension has been issued by the Governor of Haryana in exercise of the powers conferred under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, enabling the State authorities to continue enforcing the existing preventive framework.
